Van S. Injaian

Van died peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 14, 2024. Beloved husband for 62 years of Suzanne (nee Lloyd); Loving father of Steven (Maryann) Injaian of Ventnor, NJ and Julie Fleming of Haddonfield, NJ; Dear grandfather of Joshua (Bianca) Lieberman, Alex, Jessica, Ryan and Victoria ‘Tori’ Injaian, Matthew, Cedar (Matt Beuder) and Daniel Fleming and great grandfather of Avery.

Van was born and raised in Camden and attended Woodrow Wilson High School, lettering in 3 sports.  He graduated from Villanova University in 1957 and was captain of the football team.

Van’s career was in education, eventually moving to Cherry Hill and was a Guidance Counselor at Cherry Hill HS West for 25 years.  He was head tennis coach and also an assistant coach in several sports.  He was a member of the Cam-Phi Armenian Men’s Athletic Assoc.  and cherished the lifelong friends he made there.  He was an avid tennis and golf player.

Van’s family will receive friends on Tuesday Jan. 23rd from 10-10:45 AM, at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ; where his Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment for immediate family only.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Van may be made to Samaritan Hospice or Doctors without Borders.
