Robert J. "Bob" Rydzewski

Robert J Rydzewski (Bob) was a caring husband, father, grandfather, stepfather and friend. He left this world after a long battle with dementia on March 10, 2023, at the age of 73.

Bob is survived by Beloved wife Elisabeth (nee Wright); Dear father of Stephen (Anna Marie) Rydzewski, Phyllis (Gregory) Chronowski, and Jean Rydzewski; step-father of Kelly (Ryan) Feely, Courtney (Dana) Melvin and Ryan Herrman; Cherished grandfather of Meghan. Jackson, Madison, Lynda, Allison and Nina.

Bob was raised in Camden NJ and was raised by Cecelia and Benjamin Rydzewski. He went to St. Joseph’s elementary school and High school. After graduating high school he worked for many years as a machinist. He then moved to Collingswood NJ where he spent most of his life raising his family.  He went on to pursue his dreams and became a police officer for the Collingswood police department where he worked for 26 1/2 years and retired as a Lieutenant.

Bob spent his free time fencing, fishing, and spending time with his family. Bob also loved cooking, long walks, flowers, and sharing a good meal with his friends and family.

A private graveside ceremony will be held for his family at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill NJ. In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family would like to dedicate a park bench in his name in Knights Park in Collingswood, NJ. Bob had a lot of hometown pride and they feel that this would be a great way to carry on his memory.  A small donation can be made in his name to support this effort.
