Patricia A. Walsh

(nee Bolton) on May 20, 2024. Dear wife of the late Thomas E. Walsh; loving mother of Timothy (Theresa) Walsh of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Patricia (Bart Johnson) Walsh of Voorhees, New Jersey; beloved grandmother of Rachel Johnson-Walsh and Hannah (June Adams) Johnson-Walsh; and proud great grandmother of Cyrus Walsh-Adams. Pat was predeceased by her sister Mary Margaret Pinnick and brother Jack Bolton.

Pat spent most of her life in Michigan. She was born and grew up in Detroit and as an adult lived in Ann Arbor, Redford Township, and South Lyon. She moved to Voorhees in 2015. She worked as a secretary in various positions, including at Evergreen Village Presbyterian Church in Detroit for 20 years.

Always up for fun, Pat had a wide circle of life-long friends who met regularly and threw frequent parties with their spouses and children. Pat and Tom’s home in Redford Township was often buzzing with family, visitors, and neighbors, who were warmly welcomed to enjoy their backyard swimming pool.  In her later years, she could be counted on to engage in any game her granddaughters cooked up.

Pat played softball in a women’s league in Redford Township, and she and Tom were competitive bowlers in South Lyon. She had a wry sense of humor, which she put to use while writing a neighborhood column in a local newspaper in Redford, a role she reprised when she and Tom retired to South Lyon and she took over writing the newsletter for their senior living community. She was an avid gardener and excelled at crossword puzzles and trivia games.
