Daniel Perrin

Age: 78 of Pocono Pines, PA

Daniel “Dan” Perrin, a longtime resident of Pocono Pines, PA departed this life on May 9, 2025. Daniel was devoted son of the late Frank and Margaret Perrin; brother of beloved sister Carol Dunleavy; cherished uncle of Kevin (Johanna) Dunleavy, Jackie (Jason) Danker, and Jen (Adam) Landis; great uncle of Liam, Keira, Ryan, Evan and Logan.

Daniel proudly served his country as an active-duty Marine from 1966-1969.  He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, earning the Vietnamese Service Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. After serving in the Marine Corps, Daniel was a small business owner for the remainder of his life. He owned and operated his IT/computer business independently and successfully for over twenty years. He gave back to his community by helping other businesses with their computer related needs.

Aside from his civic duties and work life, he had many interests that brought him happiness. In addition to traveling and photography, Dan was a dedicated cyclist, an avid reader and an accomplished wood worker. It was common for him to take his bicycle with him so he could ride wherever he may be at the time; the Poconos or Ocean City, NJ. Dan also always had a list of books ready for his Christmas wish list. He had a special corner of his home dedicated especially for reading. In addition to the reading corner, he designated his garage, “Fallen Pines Woodshop” as his personal woodworking space. His hobbies, much like him were simple, meaningful and introspective.

Services for Daniel will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Daniel’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ ) and/or Lift for a Vet IUEC Local 5 in Philadelphia, PA. ( https://iuec5.org/lift_for_a_vet.aspx )
