(nee Marchione) On May 8, 2025, formerly of Haddonfield, NJ; wife of the late Richard L., M.D.; Daughter of the Late Raphael Marchione and Concetta Marchione. Beloved mother of James of Cherry Hill, NJ and the late Richard L. Jr. Beloved Sister of the late: Mario Marchione, Marge (nee) Marchione Mazur, Gabriel Marchione, John Marchione, Josephine Marchione, and Antonette (nee) Marchione – D’Imperio. Dear Aunt of: Nancy (nee) Dodge Reinisch, John Dodge, Gail Dodge, Ed Mazur, Dietra nee Mazur- Trayers and Sandra Mazur and Karen Baily, the late Frank D’Imperio and Quinton D’Imperio. Grand Aunt of Charles Kent Clark, Scotty Clark, Gregory Clark, Audra Ann (nee) Clark- Ruane, Mark and Troy D’Imperio. Great Aunt to Alexis, Corey, Deanna and Victoria D’Imperio.and Great Aunt to: Dan Clark, Colin and Shane (nee) Clark- Ruane. Great Aunt to Dylan, Olivia, Miles, JJ, Clark. Claire worked at Saint Agnes Hospital as a blood lab technician in her teens and early 20’s. She worked Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia as a blood technician in her mid 20’s. She met Richard, via her cousin Connie, and they went to a Medical school dance. They were married in 1948. Immediately after Marriage, they had to drive to Tacoma, Washington, to go to Madigan Army Medical Center for Richard to complete his residency and his Army reserve obligations. Prior to marriage, Richard fought on the front lines in the Pacific campaign during the total duration of WWII.
In 1970, and in her early 50’s, she returned to work at Saint Agnes Hospital. She worked there until they sold their Haddonfield house in 1976. In her 60s, 70s, and early 80’s she worked at the By Hand store in Haddonfield.
Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Callista’s viewing on Wednesday Evening May 28th, 7-9 PM, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 W. End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ. On Thursday morning, May 29th, at Holy Eucharist Parish, 344 Kresson Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, all are welcome to attend her Viewing, 10-10:45 AM, and her Mass of Christian Burial which will follow at 11 AM.
