(nee Churchfield) Died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 10, 2024; wife of the late Dr. Joesph A. Gillerlain; cherished mother of Joseph (Sherri) Gillerlain, John Gillerlain, Johannah (Bryan) Dent and the late Timothy (Theresa) Gillerlain; adoring grandmother of Jeffrey Dent, TaraJo Gillerlain, Brady (Yvonne) Gillerlain and Jennifer Dent and treasured great grandmother of Josef Gillerlain.
Born in Wall, PA, Hilda proudly served her country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. It was in October of 1944, during her time in Charleston, SC, that she met Dr. Gillerlain, the love of her life, as they both served in the Navy. The couple exchanged vows on July 2, 1949, and enjoyed a blissful marriage for 75 years until Dr. Gillerlain’s passing in 2023.
Initially working as a nurse alongside her husband at his practice in Haddonfield, Hilda later transitioned to focus on their growing family in 1955. Beyond her nursing career, Hilda was known for her passion for stitching. In 1980, she proudly opened her own needlepoint store in Haddonfield, named Flicka’s Needlepoint, and was also a member of The Royal School of Needlework in England.
Described as kind, thoughtful, and loving by all who knew her, Hilda leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity. Her loss will be deeply felt by her family and friends, who will cherish the memories of her love and care.

Jacqueline Kulbako Pelles
Age 70 of Germantown, MD
Jacqueline Kulbako Pelles, 70, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Paul Daly, and her aunt, Elizabeth O’Brien.
Born and raised in Hudson Falls, NY, Jacqueline earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Russell Sage College and her Master’s in General Administration from the University of Maryland.
Jacqueline dedicated her life to the nursing profession, which she considered one of her greatest joys and privileges. In the 1970s, she worked on a medical-surgical unit at Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY, before moving on to the ICU at Albany Medical Center. In the 1980s, she relocated to the Washington, D.C. area, where she worked as an Occupational Health Nurse for the Public Health Service (PHS), providing care to employees at various agencies. She later held positions at Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care, Georgetown University Hospital, and Medstar Washington Hospital Center, where she spent her final 23 years as a Case Manager.
A passionate traveler, Jacqueline cherished her trips to Europe with her daughters, appreciating the architecture, history, art, and meeting people from different countries. She was particularly fond of visiting the Vatican in Italy and exploring her Irish roots in Ireland, as her mom had encouraged her to do. In Ireland, she enjoyed the magnificent green hills, The Cliffs of Moher, and the Irish music and dancing.
While working at Washington Hospital Center, Jacqueline met and fell in love with Social Worker William Pelles. After a long engagement, they married and enjoyed traveling to the Jersey Shore and Cape May, as well as living near the nation’s capital. Living near Washington, D.C., they appreciated access to the museums, monuments, and of course, the beautiful Cherry Blossoms. Jacqueline had a deep love for dogs and rescued several over the years, including some with disabilities.
A loving mother, Jacqueline raised her two daughters as a single mom and felt blessed to have four grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She cherished the time spent with them, whether in person or regular calls on Facetime. The family spent her last days together in Ocean City, New Jersey.
With unwavering strength and faith, Jacqueline battled cancer for two years, never giving up hope even in her final days.
She is survived by her husband, William Pelles; daughters, Kate (Mark) Pecaro and Rachel (Chris) Vennitti; grandchildren, Madeleine, Harrison, and Juliette Pecaro, and Vincenzo Vennitti; sister-in-law, Annmarie Pelles and Joanne Vennitti; and brother-in-law, Bob Pelles (Robin), all of whom she deeply loved and touched.
The family expresses their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Lombardi Cancer Center, Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Medstar Home Care, and Samaritan of Vorhees for their exceptional care.
A celebration of Jacqueline’s life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (11701 Clopper Rd.) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Barbara Anne Tighe
Age 79 of Audubon, formerly of Haddonfield
Barbara Anne Tighe (née Vogl), age 79, of Audubon, formerly of Haddonfield, NJ, born and raised in Rockville Centre, NY, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024. Barbara, affectionately known as Babs, was the devoted wife of John Tighe and the cherished mother of Michael (Patricia) Knorr, Christopher Knorr, Adam (Denise) Knorr, Peter (Katie) Knorr, Sean (Maurisha) Tighe, Colin (Rachelle) Tighe, and Kevin (Ingrid) Tighe. She was the adored grandmother of 17 grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother of 2.
She is predeceased by her beloved children Andrea Faust Knorr and James Christopher Knorr.
Babs was an avid reader and a passionate gardener who found great joy in the beauty of nature. She was also dedicated to rescuing dogs, having saved and provided loving homes to nine dogs over 25 years alongside her husband John. Barbara’s love and enthusiasm for her family and her many interests were boundless, and her warm spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Geraldine "Gerri" Miller
Age 84 of Somerdale, NJ
(nee Ober) Passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2024. Gerri was the devoted wife of the late Bill; Cherished mother of Glen (Nancy), Susan (James Wheatley) and Jeffrey; adoring grandmother of Nicholas, Laura, Christina, Lisa, James and Jeffrey, Jr. Gerri will also be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews.
Gerri was born in Osage, NJ and was 1 of 10 children. She was known as the heart of her family. She kept in close touch with all of her extended family of many nieces and nephews and their families. She loved and was loved by many lifelong friends. She never met a stranger, easily making new friends wherever she went.
As a young mother, she dedicated her time to serving the Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Alter Rosary Society and gave countless hours of help wherever she was needed. She cherished preparing and service at the Bishops dinners. Later in life, while she was retired in Naples Florida, she was very honored to be commissioned a Eucharistic Minister.
Gerri dedicated years of her life operating the family- owned Waste Services Company, Super Kwik, Inc., with her husband Bill. The Super Kwik team and associates were like family, and she remained lifelong friends with many of them.
After retiring, her passion was helping underprivileged children with Grace Place in Naples, FL. She served on the board of directors and was instrumental in the development of the new school campus. Her favorite parts of volunteering were interacting with the children after school, playing games and helping with their homework.
Gerri loved to spend time at the shore, going for boat rides and traveling to new places. She always had a positive outlook and found the silver lining in every situation. She was blessed by God in many ways and never hesitated to pass the blessings on to others. She always surrounded herself with family and friends and was known for heartfelt joy and laughter. She was also a great listener and made time to support others in need. Her love and compassion extended to animals as well. Gerri adopted many dogs and cats in her lifetime including her beloved dog, Mazie.

Patricia A. Walsh
Age: 99 of Voorhees, NJ
(nee Bolton) on May 20, 2024. Dear wife of the late Thomas E. Walsh; loving mother of Timothy (Theresa) Walsh of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Patricia (Bart Johnson) Walsh of Voorhees, New Jersey; beloved grandmother of Rachel Johnson-Walsh and Hannah (June Adams) Johnson-Walsh; and proud great grandmother of Cyrus Walsh-Adams. Pat was predeceased by her sister Mary Margaret Pinnick and brother Jack Bolton.
Pat spent most of her life in Michigan. She was born and grew up in Detroit and as an adult lived in Ann Arbor, Redford Township, and South Lyon. She moved to Voorhees in 2015. She worked as a secretary in various positions, including at Evergreen Village Presbyterian Church in Detroit for 20 years.
Always up for fun, Pat had a wide circle of life-long friends who met regularly and threw frequent parties with their spouses and children. Pat and Tom’s home in Redford Township was often buzzing with family, visitors, and neighbors, who were warmly welcomed to enjoy their backyard swimming pool. In her later years, she could be counted on to engage in any game her granddaughters cooked up.
Pat played softball in a women’s league in Redford Township, and she and Tom were competitive bowlers in South Lyon. She had a wry sense of humor, which she put to use while writing a neighborhood column in a local newspaper in Redford, a role she reprised when she and Tom retired to South Lyon and she took over writing the newsletter for their senior living community. She was an avid gardener and excelled at crossword puzzles and trivia games.

Deborah Ogletree Carter
Age: 72 of Cherry Hill, NJ
Debbie passed away peacefully on May 19th. She was the devoted wife for over 51 years of Kenneth B. Carter, Sr.; cherished mother of Kenneth (Amy) Carter, Jr. and Robert (Melissa) Carter; proud grandmother of Jack, Will, Lucas, Matthew, Abby and Jasen. She is also survived by her beloved twin sister Mary Ogletree (Rebecca Brown); dear sister-in-law Helen Karrick (Robert) and was the beloved aunt of Kathryn Ogletree, Robin Cox, Kimberly Seiler and David Karrick. She was the daughter of the late James R. Ogletree and Eva H. Ogletree and was preceded in death by her beloved younger sister Eva Catherine (David) Davenport.
Debbie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky School of Music, majoring in piano performance. Her Master’s of Music was in string education, and she taught in the Lexington, KY public schools for several years. Following her husband to Tennessee and then to New Jersey, she enjoyed teaching piano, violin and viola privartely to students of all ages. She also taught at the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield Preschool, and was a lead paralegal for Archer and Greiner, P.C. She performed as a violist with the Knoxville Symphony, the Haddonfield Symphony, and with various chamber ensembles. She sang in the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian Church, and accompanied the youth choirs on their annual tours.
Debbie loved reading, working on family genealogy, listening to music of many genres, gardening, the beach and watching birds at her backyard feeder. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and close friends. She was a consummate musician and was kind, articulate, funny, and the most loving person anyone could hope to meet.

Donald F. Webb, Sr.

Don embodied so many wonderful traits – he was very loving and very patient, very organized and precise and very loyal and reliable. He deeply loved his amazing wife Shirley, his children and granddaughter.
Don committed himself to many wonderful causes beyond himself, and when he got involved, you could count on him being there reliably over the years.
He was a member of the Haddonfield Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, and he worked tirelessly with the handyman’s group at the Lutheran Church of our Savior for nearly 20 years.
With his magical hands and mechanical mind, he was able to keep the many elements of his home running like a fine Swiss watch. Everything worked the way it should, and every job was done the right way.
He loved his many neighbors, and without a doubt, they will carry fond memories of his tireless work around the yard keeping the lawn and sidewalks neat and pristine.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor, and he will be missed and remembered dearly by many.
Dennis “Denny” V. Bowersfield

On March 21, 2024, of Hammonton, NJ & Austin, TX; Beloved son of Patricia Bowersfield and Dennis Gordon; Devoted brother of Weiland Simons, Taylor Gordon, Jake Gordon and Reese Gordon; Loving grandson of Tom Bowersfield, Pat Hart and Lynn Bowersfield (Glenn Flack); Dear nephew of Tom Bowersfield, Jr., Heather Zeccola (Dan), Nicole Strassner (George), and Stephanie Hojnowski (Dave); His forever love & friend of Emma Kennedy; and also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles, dear friends and his amazing dog Kaia.
Denny had a beautiful soul and an enormous heart. He was a generous and loyal friend. A hard worker, he excelled at everything he was determined to achieve. He seeked out adventure and loved to travel, always searching for the perfect beach to show off his newest Hawaiian shirt. Denny was Denny, he was one-of-a-kind. With his unique personality and twisted sense of humor, he could make you laugh for hours. Those that had the joy of having him in their lives, will never fill the void he has left behind. He will be forever loved and missed dearly.

George S. Semple, Jr.
Age: 86 of Marlton, Nj
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 12, 2024. George was the devoted husband of Barbara (nee Morgan); adoring father of Vickie (Jim) Melson, Susan (Frank) McCormick and George (Lucy) Semple, III; cherished grandfather of 8 (Katie Melson, Kristie Melson, Erin McCormick Kelly, Kyle McCormick, Shannon McCormick, Andrew Semple, Justin Semple and Megan Semple) and great grandfather of 6 (Campbell Leslie, Sophie Leslie, Ashley Wells, Quinn Wells, Lilah Zayas, James Kelly III).
George was a faithful longtime member of Haddonfield United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in the Army as part of the 101st Airborne.
During his working years he worked at RCA, was a Collingswood police officer, and a claims manager with PSE&G.
He was an award-winning wood carver who specialized in songbirds.

Robert F. Horn
Age 92 of Haddonfield, NJ
Passed on March 20, 2024, Beloved husband of Jean (nee Campbell); Loving father of Eric Horn, Julie Colocci (Gilberto), Roberta Laidig (Kim) and Catharine Burgess (Stephen); Treasured grandfather of Nicolas (Georgia), Cristian and Jordan Colocci, Kyle, and Shelby and Emma Burgess and Cherished great grandfather of Nathan and Aiden Colocci and Brooks Laidig.
Bob was raised in Collingswood and then resided in Haddonfield for over 60 years. He graduated from Rutgers University, served in the Army at White Sands, then began his career estimating and overseeing commercial construction. Eventually, he opened his own general contracting company. Bob was a very active member of Grace Episcopal Church.
He had many passions. He was an avid skier and handball player. Enjoyed traveling, antiquing, listening to jazz and classical music, woodworking and spending time in Cape May. Above all he cherished his friends and family.
