Thomas A. Houck

Age 66, of Cherry Hill

On April 18, 2019, Age 66, Beloved husband of Maria (nee DiGenova); Loving father of Lauren Elizabeth Houck (Thomas Hanslip) of England and Ralph Biansco (Jamie Ottaviano) of FL and companion to his devoted dog, Maddie.

Tom had been employed by the Cherry Hill Board of Education for 31 years, retiring as the Operational Supervisor.  He was a long-time musician and is jamming on his guitar in Heaven with new found bandmates.  He was a model train enthusiast and an avid Eagles’ Fan.  He will be wearing his Superbowl Championship shirt and his family encourages everyone attending to honor Tom by wearing their Eagles’ gear as well.

Ellen B. Doheny

Age 82, Of Cherry Hill

(nee Rocco) On April 19, 2019, Age 82; Beloved wife of Edward L.; Devoted mother of Edward J. (Kimberly) of Bel Air, MD and Michael K. (Jessica) of Wenonah, NJ; Loving grandmother of Brian, Patrick, Carolyn, Jillian and Joanna; Dear sister of Catherine Zorn, Thomas (Ellen) Rocco and Louis (Patricia) Rocco.

Ellen was a devoted Mets fan who enjoyed reading, playing mah jongg and bridge, and cooking her famous meatballs for her kids and grandkids. Ellen said “I love you” to us until the very end. She was the kindest and most generous wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend anyone could have, and she was beloved by all who knew her.

Ellen’s family will greet friends on Thursday, April 25, 2019, 10-10:45 AM at Christ Our Light R.C. Church, 402 Kings Hwy N, Cherry Hill, NJ. where her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Colestown Cemetery. William J. Doherty, Jr.

Age 68, Longtime Haddon Twp. Resident

On April 13, 2019, age 68, Beloved husband of Linda (nee Schroeder) and Loving father of Natalie Doherty of Haddon Twp.  Also survived by his siblings, Edward & Ann Doherty, a half-brother & 3 half-sisters.

Following HS graduation, Bill proudly served in the US Marines and continued in the reserves retiring as a Sgt. Major.  Additionally, he was a Police Officer in Haddonfield for 25 years.

Jerry F. Hall

Age 83, Longtime Haddonfield Resident

(nee Fuller) On April 7, 2019, Age 83, wife of the late James S.; Loving mother of Janet Sage (Gary) of Tallahassee, FL, Cindy Cordova of Washington Twp., Bonnie Hall of Haddon Twp., and the late Lauri Hall; Cherished grandmother of Joseph Cordova, Ryan Sage, Lindsay Hough, Adam Hall & Eric Russo; Treasured great grandmother of Makayla & Jayden Cordova, Layla Hall, Ali Murphy & Finn Hough; Dear sister-in-law of Jane Connor and Devoted aunt of Richard & Jack Connor.

Jerry attended Auburn University where she met her husband and completed her teaching degree at Glassboro State Univ. (Rowan).  She was diehard Auburn Fan!  She began her career as a teacher at the Greater Collingswood Children’s Center, became its Director and after 40 years retired.

Ruth M. Hartigan

Age 94 of Riverview Estates ~ Formerly of Haddonfield

(nee Snyder)  On April 3, 2019, age 94, formerly a longtime Haddonfield resident, wife of the late Martin; Loving mother of Dennis of Pine Island, FL, Donald (Cindy) of Parsonsburg, MD, Karen Snyder (John) of Wilmington, DE and the late Alan (Debbie) and Martin Barry (Debbie); Beloved grandmother of 12:Wade, Khara, Sarah, Kelly, Michael, Christopher, Rebecca, Joshua, Danny, Brian, Allison & Caitlin; great grandmother of Ruthie June, Tristan, Olivia, Isabella & Jacob and Dear sister of Richard Snyder.

Ruth’s life was sustained by her family, faith & friends.  After her husband was disabled, she learned to drive, went back to work and conquered challenges and struggles that made her stronger.  She had been an executive secretary for various company including, 12 years at RCA.  Ruth was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, singing in the choir for over 35 years.  She volunteered at WJ Hospital (Virtua) and later after moving to Riverview Estates, was President of the Resident’s Council (4 yrs.), assisted with their newsletter, mailings and on their compassionate care team for residents without family. She embodied positivity, warmth and kindheartedness and will be deeply missed.

Charlotte K. Rexon

Age 91 of Moorestown, NJ

(nee Baylis) On April 2, 2019; Age 91; formerly of Haddonfield; Beloved wife of the late Fred Rexon; Devoted mother of Joan (Richard Reinoehl) Lynch, George (Julie) Koffenberger, William (Diane) Koffenberger, and the late Chip Koffenberger; Step mother of Fred (Ginny) Rexon and Donna (Andy) Brodner; Loving grandmother of Gretchen Seale, Amy Lynch, Gregory (Kami) Lynch, Richelle (Mike) Caffrey, Jennifer Koffenberger & Laura Koffenberger; Step grandmother of Daniel, Elizabeth and Chad Rexon, Sean (Megan) Brodner, Laura and Melanie Brodner;  Cherished Great grandmother of Chase Smith, Maya Spencer, Zoey Granville, Benjamin Lynch, Anthony Caffrey and Ender and James Brodner; Dear sister of Lucille Yeatman.

Charlotte was raised in Wilmington, DE and was an active member & former president of AAUW (American Assoc. of University Women).  She took pleasure in painting, and enjoyed spending her free time playing mah-jongg, bridge and pinochle.

A Reminiscence Service for Charlotte will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 11AM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlotte may be made to American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451. Bonnie C. Williams

Age 78 of Moorestown, NJ

(nee Crowther)  On March 30, 2019, age 78, former longtime Haddonfield resident, wife of the late Horace “Skip” Williams; Beloved mother of Beverly (Brian) McNamee of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Edwin Rae (Susan) Williams, M.D., of Moorestown, NJ and Donna “D.J.” (Randy) Wakefield of Tabernacle, NJ; Cherished grandmother of 11; Loving great grandmother of 4 and Dear sister of Nancy (Robert) Denmark of Moorestown, NJ.

Bonnie had been a Real Estate Agent for Bellevue Homes in Haddonfield for many years as well as a longtime member of Tavistock Country Club.

Elma “Sally” Raport

Age 89 of Haddonfield, NJ

(nee Sharp) On March 14, 2019, Age 89; Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Joseph A., Jr.;   Loving mother of Michael J. of Haddonfield and Gregory J. (Brittany) of Gibbstown; Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sally attended Collingwood High School and worked for Bell Telephone as an operator.  She left Bell and spent the next 20 years working for A-Tel Center in Haddonfield, NJ.

 Services were held privately.

William Boyd Hunter, Jr.

Age 86 of Cherry Hill, NJ

On March 16, 2019; Age 86; Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Duffy); Longtime friend of Joseph (Margaret) Weber; and Dear companion of Florence Collins.

William proudly served in the US Air Force in the 1950’s and was a member of the Masons. He was the owner of Hunter’s Auto Air in Cherry Hill, also known as Hunter’s Garage, for 50 years.

Mr. Hunter’s Services were held privately.
