Samuel Lee, Jr.

On November 27, 2022, age 89. Devoted husband of the late Shirley (nee Secorski) and cherished father of Caralyn Baine.

Sam graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS (Class of ’51). He was active with the alumni as well as coordinating the “breakfast club” at the McDonalds in Haddon Twp. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of our Savior in Haddonfield. Additionally, Sam enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He was a devoted father and good friend who will be greatly missed.

Peggy A. Lee

On Nov. 25, 2022, age 90, of Wiley Christian Community of Marlton, NJ; Beloved wife of Lloyd L. “Bud” Lee; Loving mother of Lindy Hamilton of Cary, NC, Jennifer Brooks of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Jeffrey Linnell of Waterford, CT; Cherished grandmother of 6 and Dear sister of Diane Franklin, Conrad Bildstein and Galen Griffith.

Peggy’s services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 2PM in the Chapel of the United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd. Haddonfield, NJ.  Interment, private.

Lucinda M. Olson

Lucy Olson, beloved wife, daughter, sister and granddaughter, passed away on November 19th from breast cancer. She was 30 years old.

Lucy grew up in Haddonfield, NJ and was a 2010 graduate of HMHS. She earned an undergraduate degree in horn performance and music education from the Eastman School of Music; she also earned a Master’s of Music in horn performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. She performed with orchestras at the Aspen Music Festival, Kendall Betts Horn Camp, and Monteux School & Music Festival.

Lucy lived with her husband Brian in Sunnyside, Queens. She worked as an elementary and middle school music teacher at PS/IS 128Q, Middle Village, NY where she taught 700 students annually for six years.

Lucy loved running 5K races and eating ice cream. She always looked forward to summer vacations on Long Beach Island. She was devoted to her family and especially to her dog Rollo. She is survived by her husband, Brian Olson, her parents, Liz and Lauris Olson, her sister, Lotte (Michael) Balangue, and her grandmother, Judy Fielder.

Service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Lucy’s name can be made to Metavivor .

Bernice "Bonnie" M. Haddon

(nee Kolste) On Nov. 21, 2022, age 81, of Decatur, GA, former longtime resident of Merchantville, NJ; wife of the late Wilson E. “Pip” Haddon; Beloved mother of Elizabeth “Liz” Haddon (Gary Kline) Bonus mother to Terri Methvin. Dear step-mother of Steven J. Haddon, Colleen D. Ferris and Andrew T. Haddon (Nancy); Loving grandmother of Zoe and Grayson Sanchez, Jacquelynn Haddon (Colin), Ryan Haddon (Molly), James Ferris (Tiffany), Jamie High (David), Erin, Preston and Drew Haddon. Dear sister of John “Jack” Kolste, Lynne McCall & Karen Corcoran. Best friend to almost everyone she met.

Bonnie graduated from Haddonfield Memorial HS, Class of ’59, and went on to receive her Bachelors from Rutgers University.  She was active in many organizations and clubs and was a previous member of the Merchantville school board. She was a member of Haddonfield Baptist Church and the Merchantville Women’s Club. Bonnie was involved in Meet Up and loved connecting with people to help them any way she could. She loved reading and going to author talks. She was very active in local politics in some way, shape or form, no matter where she was.

Lois L. Bromley

Lois Lorraine Bromley (nee Opal), beloved mother, artist and community leader, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after battling a long illness, on November 16, 2022. She was 86 years old.

Lois was born in 1936 to George and Eleanor Opal in Detroit, Michigan but moved to Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 6 where she grew up with three younger brothers. She attended Marian College in Indianapolis where she graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Lois became a registered Medical Technologist specializing in Blood Bank/Serology and worked as the Department Head for St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. After meeting her husband, William H. Bromley, they moved to New Jersey and she worked as the Department Head of Blood Bank/Serology for West Jersey Hospital in Camden.

Lois spent many years serving the community as a member of the Haddon Fortnightly. She joined in 1987 and became President in 1992 and 1994. She served on the Markeim Arts Center and the Haddon Foundation Board of Directors, and chaired multiple committees at Tavistock Country Club. Lois was full of life and had a passion for traveling around the world with her husband, playing golf with the 9-holers at Tavistock, and playing bridge and Mahjong with friends. She loved sitting with a good mystery novel and expressing herself through her art. Lois won several awards for her paintings in various contests in New Jersey and Florida. She enjoyed splitting her time between NJ and Florida with her husband to enjoy the sunny, beach weather.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband William H. Bromley, son David Scott, and parents George and Eleanor Opal. She is survived by her 4 children; sons William H. Bromley II (Susan), Mark D. Bromley, Steven M. Bromley; and daughter Constance L. (Bromley) Loggans (Christopher); 7 Granddaughters Alexandria, Kendall, Emma, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Kristen and Pearle and 3 Grandsons Clayton, Lyncoln and Steven.

Lois’ Family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 1:30pm to 3:15 pm, on Saturday, November 26, 2022. There will be a service immediately following at 3:30pm. Dolores J. Wezner

(nee Johns) Passed away on October 28, 2022. Dolores was the devoted wife of the late Franklin S. for 71 years; cherished mother of Maureen (Phil Quay) Barber, the late Dianne Wezner, Franklin Wezner, Jr., Denise (Pete) Giorgianni, Bryant Wezner, Richard (Felicia) Wezner and Marc (Wendy) Wezner; adoring Nanny of 12; great-grandmother (GG) of 7 and sister of Rose Swankoski.

Dolores, who was 1 of 8 children, was grounded in her faith and her love of family.  After graduating from Moravian College, she began working at RCA in Camden where she met Frank, the love of her life.  They married and had 7 children.  Once her children were older, she went back to work first at Bancroft and then as Administrative Assistant to the Principal at Haddon Hts. HS for 15 years.  After retiring, she was a volunteer in the office at Christ the King for many years.  She was an avid Bridge player and loved traveling the world with Frank.  However, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the Wezner family on Friday, November 4^th, 10-10:45 am at the Christ the King RC Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where Dolores’ Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. Jean B. Wilkinson

(nee Brooks) Passed away on October 17, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late William A. Wilkinson Ill. Beloved mother of Nancy Wilkinson-Greco (Wayne) of Millville, N.J., Kimberly Bowe of Haddon Township, N.J., William A. Wilkinson IV (Donna) of Lutz, F.L., and Marjorie Zalegowski (Kurt) of Pitman, N.J. Loving grandmother of Kyle & Brent Greco, Taylor & Riley Bowe, Keira & Claudia Wilkinson and Christian & Abigail Zalegowski. Dear sister of Marjorie O’Keefe (Edmund) of Huntsville, AL.

Jean was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late Dorothy and Winslow Brooks. Jean moved many times before settling in Haddon Township, N.J. where she graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 1958. She married her high school sweetheart, William A. Wilkinson III and raised four children together before pursuing a BS and MS in nursing from Rutgers University. Jean worked in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at local hospitals before becoming a school nurse where she spent 25 dedicated years in the Maple Shade School District.

Jean was a devoted family woman and one of her greatest pleasures in life was watching her children and then her grandchildren play sports and participate in the arts. She could often be found cheering them on from the stands, sidelines and audiences. Jean loved sports and was always rooting for her favorite teams, The Philadelphia Phillies and The University of Alabama football team. Jean was passionate about traveling and spent much of her time exploring the world. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, knitting, taking photographs, reading books and enjoying many board games and puzzles. Jean loved listening to Elvis Presley, rollerblading and walking her dogs.

William F. Richardson

On October 18, 2022, age 83, of Haddonfield, NJ, formerly of Glassboro & Toms River, NJ; husband of the late Virginia: Beloved father of Pam Richardson and Gary W. Richardson (Marie); Cherished grandfather of Rylan Richardson, Elena V. & Sebastian W. Tyler and Dear brother of Donna Richardson (Lorie), Flo Rosado (Pete), Sherry Dalto and Ken Richardson (JoAnn).  Bill was predeceased by his brothers Daniel Sheridan and Dennis Richardson, and sisters Fran Gorman, Patricia Graham, and Margaret Richardson.

Bill was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ.  He was the eldest of his parents’ eight children.  Bill was the first in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree, attending St. Peter’s College and graduating in 1960.  After graduation, Bill taught high school English, but quickly realized that helping those struggling with poverty was his true passion.  He became a social worker in Hudson County where he worked tirelessly to improve the lives of his clients.  It was there that he met the love of his life, Virginia.  They were married on November 8, 1969, and soon moved to Toms River, NJ where they raised their two children.

Bill loved to be around his family and serve in his community.  He coached youth soccer for over 20 years, participated in a mentorship program for at-risk youth, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.  Bill and Virginia also enjoyed extensive travel with their friends and family.  Bill will be remembered always for his infectious smile, witty one-liners, and his overwhelming love of family.

Jeffrey M. Seladones

Passed away suddenly on October 17, 2022. Jeffrey was a beloved son of Sharon DuBois (nee Sank) and the late Michael Seladones; cherished brother of Jonathan Seladones and Stephanie Grace (nee Seladones); adoring uncle to Cora Grace and dearest grandson to Dorothy Callahan and Sandra Sank.

Jeffrey loved music, movies, creating art, and making everyone around him laugh until they cried. Jeffrey’s presence was so tremendous you could never miss him in any sized room. His love for his niece, Cora, knew no bounds. He always was authentically and wholeheartedly himself. He will be forever talked about by everyone who knew him and live peacefully in our hearts.

Jeffrey’s family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 12-12:45pm at Kain- Murphy Funeral Home, 15 West End Ave. Haddonfield, NJ where his memorial service will follow at 1pm. Robert D. Hubbard

Robert Duncan Hubbard

On October 7, 2022, Robert Duncan Hubbard of Haddonfield passed away peacefully at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Nancy, and son, Robert A., and is survived by his daughter, Barbara Reynolds (Samuel), and daughter-in-law, Michele Hubbard.

Bob was a lifetime Haddonfield resident.  A 1946 graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School, Bob attended Rutgers University, playing football and lacrosse, and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1950.

Following college, Bob was stationed with the United States Air Force at Loring Air Force Base in Maine during the Korean War. Trained as a pilot, he flew P-51s as part of the Strategic Air Defense Command for the Atlantic.

Returning to Haddonfield upon his discharge from the service, Bob was employed as a sales engineer for the Warren Webster Company in Camden, and then as a sales and product design engineer for ITT Nesbitt in Philadelphia. In 1972, Bob established his consulting engineering firm, Robert D. Hubbard Consulting Engineers Inc., located on Tanner Street in Haddonfield. For over 40 years he provided mechanical and electrical engineering services to clients, mentored college engineering co-op students, and retired in 2016.  He held two patents on liquefied propane air blender plants and was licensed as a professional engineer in eight states.

Bob was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, and served for many years as Property Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. Other volunteer activities included the participation with the local, national, and international YMCA organization, Haddonfield Y’s Men’s Club, and board member of the YMCA Camp Ockanickon; past president and sergeant-at-arms of the Haddonfield Rotary Club; board member of Cooper Hospital; member of the Delaware and Susquehanna Model Railroading Club and the National Model Railroading Association.

Bob enjoyed working on his Bangor & Navesink model railroad and hosting an annual open house; flying his Cessna 182; fly fishing and camping yearly with his lifetime friends in Presque Isle, Maine, and spending time and sharing stories with family and friends.

Interment will be held on Friday, October 14^th, 2:30 PM, at the Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery, 402 E. Kings Highway, Haddonfield, NJ.  Bob’s family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15^th, 9:30-10:15 AM, Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ; where his funeral service will follow at 10:30am.
