Viva A. Young

(nee Harvey) Passed away on June 27, 2026. Viva was the beloved wife of the late James R. Young; Loving mother of Virginia Quinn (Kerry) of Cinnaminson, Lynn Casey of Palmyra, NJ, James (Stephanie) of Westampton, NJ & Christina Riley (Bob) of Brigantine, NJ; Cherished grandmother of Erica (Seth) Regensburg, Shannon Quinn, Emilie (Alex) Salesky, Laurel, Devon & Liam Young and  R.J. & Jesse Riley; great-grandmother of Jonah and 2 on the way; Dear sister of Virginia (Charlie) Argue.

Viva graduated from Frankford HS and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for almost 50 years. She was a proud descendant of Philadelphia’s historic Castor family, whose legacy is commemorated by Castor Avenue. Viva was a loyal and dedicated Philly sports fan who never missed a chance to cheer on the Eagles and Phillies.
