Robert M. Spinosi
Age 62, affectionately known as Spin or Spuds, died suddenly on Sept. 1, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Sears): Loving father of William of Whitehall, PA and Andrew (Katie Muñiz) of Haddonfield; Cherished brother of Jeanne Wagner (Craig) of Haddonfield. Dear uncle of Julie & Amy Wagner of Haddonfield and Krystal & Danielle Roberts of Harlingen Texas. Predeceased by his parents, Beni and Mary Ann (nee Tweedy) Spinosi.
Bob loved animals and as a young man volunteered at a veterinary clinic. This led to his lifelong career of selling veterinary pharmaceuticals. At the time of his death he was employed by The Boehringer Ingelheim company.
Bob also loved all sports but especially football. Bob, aka Spin-Dempsey, was the kicker for Haddonfield Memorial High School where he graduated in 1974. He went on to be the kicker for Widener University where he was part of the 1977 Division 3 Championship winning team. He wore his championship ring proudly.
More than anything Bob was a family man. He loved his family with all his heart. He had a close relationship with his sister and her family. Bob’s sons were his world and he played an active role in their lives from Daddy and Me swim classes to attending all of their events, whether it was sports or theater related. Bob lived his entire life in Haddonfield and chose to remain there so his sons could attend the best schools.
Bob also loved spending summers in Ocean City, NJ with his wife of 32 years. He realized a dream come true when he purchased a home in Ocean City. He was on the 44th Street beach for 31 years and leaves behind many good friends too numerous to name.
Bob’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 11th, 4-7:45 PM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where his Memorial Service will follow at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Bob may be made to Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 (www.vaonj.org)
