The Reverend Doctor Michael J. Feicht
On October 25, 2025, The Reverend Dr. Michael J. Feicht, beloved husband of Elizabeth Marsh, passed away at the age of 79. He was the loving father of Sarah Feicht, E. Emily Flasinski (Brian), and M. Peter Feicht (Laura), and cherished grandfather of David and Henry Frederick, Brian and E. Sophie Flasinski, and Aleksandra and Madeline Feicht.
Dr. Feicht earned his B.A. from Fordham University, a graduate degree from the University of Iowa, and both a Master of Divinity and Ph.D. from Andover Newton Theological School.
He served in the Peace Corps in Tehran, Iran, before beginning his pastoral ministry. Over the course of his career, he was Pastor at Southborough Community Church and First Baptist Church of Hanson, Massachusetts, and later Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, New Jersey. In addition to his pastoral work, he held adjunct teaching appointments at Andover Newton Theological School, Eastern University, and Camden County College.
During his ministry at the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, Dr. Feicht organized and led mission trips to Puerto Rico, Belarus, Egypt, Rwanda, and India, providing pastoral and medical support. He made multiple trips to India and returned to Rwanda numerous times to assist with reconciliation and community rebuilding following the 1994 genocide.
Active in community service, he volunteered with Urban Promise, Camden Cathedral Kitchen, and Habitat for Humanity. He was also a member of American Baptist Churches of NJ and USA, the Lions Club, Rotary Club of Haddonfield, and Haddonfield First Night Committee.
He enjoyed music, art, walks with his wife, reading books to his grandchildren, birdwatching, golf, and painting.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 124 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
