Mary L. Leahy

(nee Buswell) Passed away on August 26, 2026. Mary was the devoted wife of the late Robert Leahy; cherished mother of Kathy (Bill) McCutcheon and Maggie Elson; adoring grandmother of Kim (Matt) McGee, Lauren McCutcheon, Julia (Tyler) Mahan, Michael (Jordan) McCutcheon and Danielle Elson; great grandmother of Thomas, Emmett and Brooke; and the beloved sister of June Haffeman. Mary will also be truly missed by her 14 nieces and nephews.

Mary was a proud member of the Art Alliance of Willingboro and Waterway Art Association of Brunswick County,  North Carolina. She was a prolific artist across multiple mediums, including painting, drawing, knitting, needle point and sewing.

Services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Mary’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice ( https://www.samaritannj.org/giving/ways-to-give/ ) or the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/en/).
