Mary Frances Nicoletti

Mary Frances H Nicoletti (née Hutchinson), affectionately known as Mammy, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 66. Born in 1957, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ, she grew up attending Christ the King elementary school and then Paul VI high school before pursuing higher education at Albright University. During her time at Albright, she earned her degree in biology, all while being a two-sport athlete, playing field hockey and basketball. After college, she pursued a career as a chemist, but could not stay off the turf, so she decided to take up officiating, which she continued to do, all while raising a family.
Mammy dedicated her life to her family, embracing the roles of a loving mother and grandmother, and was a pillar of support and love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen, and Bill Hutchison. Mary Frances is survived by her husband Thomas, her daughters – Helene (Joseph), Frances, and Annie (Rory). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Clara, Elsie, Michael, and a baby due in March, and her brothers William A. (Marianne), Edward P. (Dee), Frederick J. (Lynn), Thomas M. (Elaine), Robert J. (Maria) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. It is also important to remember her grandDOGS – Kona and Olive, as they made a lasting impact on her couch. She was known for being kind, caring, creative, hardworking, and selfless—qualities that she brought into every aspect of her life.
Throughout her life, Mammy engaged in various hobbies that reflected her creative and active spirit. She had a passion for sewing, collecting fabrics, baking, and decorating, and never took a day off from her career as a domestic engineer.
Four years ago, her dream came true, and she became a full-time resident at the seashore, as she lovingly called it. Building things and spending quality time with her family were among her favorite ways to share her love and talents.
Mammy’s life was a testament to the power of giving, and her legacy of love and creativity will live on through her family and all who knew her. The service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Christ the King RC Church 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033: where her family will receive friends & relatives from 9-11:45 AM and all are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment, private. This is a celebration of life so please remember to wear bright colors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Frances H Nicoletti’ name to St. Jude’s Children Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to treating and defeating childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, a cause Mary Frances was passionate about.
