Margaret Rowlenson

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of Alton J. Rowlenson, who preceded her in passing in 1999, and the loving Mother of Richard Rowlenson and Jane Rowlenson Brandt.  She was the beloved Grandmother of Jeffrey O’Connor, Caroline Demer, Mary Rowlenson and Annie Rowlenson.

Over the years, she was a parish member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Ridgewood; Guardian Angel Church, Allendale; St. Paul’s Church, Ramsey; and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Mahwah.  She graduated from the College of New Rochelle and received a Masters Degree in Statistics from Fordham University, after which she taught college level courses at both institutions.  She continued her career as an educator at the grammar school and high school levels.  She volunteered with a number of charitable causes, including Kurth Cottage with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Ridgewood.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave., Ramsey, NJ 07446 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Burial immediately following the Visitation will take place at Maryrest Cemetery, 25 Seminary Road, Mahwah, NJ.  Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Lighthouse Hospice of Cherry Hill, 200 Lake Drive East, Suite 205, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
