Judith Miller
Judith P. Miller (nee Peters) who was born August 9, 1937 to the late John and Ethel Peters -owners of Haddonfield’s well known Peters Ice Cream and Candy – passed away on July 20, 2026, after spending her entire life in Haddonfield.
Judith (Judy) was the devoted wife of the late Harry C. Miller, the cherished mother of Steve (Cheryl) Miller, Donna (John) Perkins, and John (Jan) Miller; grandmother of Mike (Jess), Dani, Sean (Jamie), Kyle (Jenny), Ally (Anthony), Brittany (Ben) and Tyler (Ocean); And, the Great Grandmother of 10.
Later in life, she became the first female employee at Westmont Hardware. She also guided school children through the intersection of Hopkins Ave., and Grove Street as their beloved crossing guard. She enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey shore and it was there that she met Harry and where they continued to vacation with their children and grandchildren. She loved to sing or hum a melody, quote a random poem, and diligently document in her calendars – and then remind everyone each year – of every ‘Miller Moment’. And, let’s not forget the call backs that followed immediately after both hung up the phone…or the dollar bills.
Funeral services for Judith will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Judith’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org/?form=FUNDHYMMBXU ).
