Joan A. Egan

(nee Brocious) Passed away on April 30, 2025. Joan was the devoted wife of the late Bertram Egan; cherished mother of Jean (Robert) Zamrin, Martin (the late Anne) Egan and the late Colleen Egan (Charles Reynolds); adoring grandmother of Katie and Dave Passarella and Theresa and Christopher Hood; great grandmother of Macie and Jake Hood.

While we mourn the passing of Joan, we want to remember all of the fond memories she shared with friends and family throughout her life. Joan was a 56-year resident in Haddonfield. She worked as a lunch lady at Haddonfield Memorial High School for 28 years. She was the ticket taker to almost every sporting match at Haddonfield Memorial High School. She adored going to bingo with her two daughters Colleen and Jean, as well as her trips to Atlantic City. Joan’s happy place was always sitting in front of a slot machine. She loved being a mom mom and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan loved cooking for her son Martin. Her favorite holiday was July 4th, along with her delicious American flag cake she would sing God Bless America at the family party. She was loved by everyone and touched the hearts of anyone she knew. She will be truly missed.

Joan’s family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, May 9th, 10-10:45 AM at Christ the King RC Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where her Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment is private.
