Jay E. Kauffman

Passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.

Jay was the cherished brother of Robert (Sally Reising) Kauffman; loving uncle of Megan Kauffman; and a dear friend to Ralph and Christine Hyman and their children, Jeff and Jill. He is also survived by many cousins and other treasured friends.

Jay dedicated over 30 years of service to the Social Security Administration. He was known for his great intellect, quick wit, and remarkable depth of knowledge. He had an extraordinary love for classical music—especially opera—and was a wealth of information about classic films. Jay’s humor, kindness, and deep love for animals will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He was a devoted and active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Haddonfield, where his presence and participation meant so much to his church community.
