Isabel V. Pross
Passed away on May 29th, 2026. Devoted wife of Warren Pross; cherished mother of Ian and Liza Pross; dear sister of Henry Lavan, Grace Palinkos, the late Mary Ament and the late Patrick Lavan. Isabel will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Isabel spent a long and dedicated career in the Philadelphia School District, starting as a classroom teacher and concluding her tenure directing a center for gifted and talented students in the inner city. Students, parents, and peers often voiced their respect and appreciation for her service.
Isabel enjoyed entertaining friends and family at dinners and luncheons, reading and discussing novels and New Yorker articles, gardening, traveling, and, in her younger years, playing tennis. She especially loved time at the Jersey shore with her family.
She was a faithful member of The First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield and was involved in many activities, including serving as a Deacon and choir parent, participating in many bible study groups, and offering her time and talent with the Women’s Prison Ministry and the Christmas Poinsettia Program. She made many lasting friendships through her commitment to the church.
Isabel’s family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, June 19th at the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 Kings Hwy. East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033; visitation with family at 10am, service to follow at 11am. Internment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Isabel may be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield (www.haddonfieldpres.org/donate-now) or charity of your choice.
