George E. Manley

On February 13, 2025, beloved husband for 51 years of Patricia A. (nee Breitling); Devoted father of Scott (Christina) Manley and Judy Manley; Cherished grandfather of Nathan Manley; Dear brother-in-law of John Breitling (Penni), caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his loyal dog, Rosco.
George was born in Neptune, NJ to Jeannette and Henry Manley. He was a Cherry Hill Police Officer from 1967 until his retirement in 1993. He was a volunteer member of the Cherry Hill Fire Department and Deer Park Special Services for over 60 years. George treasured the friendships he made, especially Larry, Bill K., Andy, Bill S. and Jack, with whom he would talk and attempt to solve the world’s problems.
Additionally, George was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed traveling and family vacations to Ocean City, MD. He also enjoyed giving his friends new restaurant recommendations. In his younger years, he played ice hockey at the Ice House in Cherry Hill and played baseball with the Cherry Hill Police Department.
Above all else, George was a dedicated family man, who loved spending time with his family.
George’s family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the Kain-Murphy Funeral Home, Haddonfield, where his memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of George may be made to Tunnels to Towers (which benefits veterans and first responders) or to the Animal Welfare Association because George loved dogs.
