Gail S. Hoffman
On Feb. 6, 2024, devoted wife of the late Ralph J., beloved mother of Pamela G. Hoffman and her husband Jan Michael Brody of Cherry Hill, NJ, and longtime companion of the late Richard M. Wilson.
Since 1955, Gail has been an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, including teaching Sunday School, Summer & weekday school release classes, helping with the Lenten Suppers and assisted with the Messenger for many years. She was a volunteer at West Jersey Hospital (Voorhees), the LBI Historical Museum, The Friends of the Stafford Library, the Pinelands Preservation and with the Women’s Auxiliary of the JayCees of Cherry Hill as well as a member of the Venture Club of Camden County, the Delaware Twp. Jr. Women’s Club and the Cherry Hill AARP.
Gail loved the beach, especially LBI, her shore home was her “happy place” listening to the gulls and watching the water. She delighted in all the beauty of nature, the dunes, sea grasses, bay heather, and salt air in all seasons equally. But above all else her door was always open to welcome her beloved family and friends both two and four legged. Her role as a wife and mother meant the world to her. Keeping her home was a passion, all the little touches of music, flowers, art, and beautiful antiques along with her cooking and entertaining was her form of artistry and expression of love to all that entered. She was a faithful loyal friend who treasured many lifelong friendships, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Gail’s family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 16th, 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where her Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment, private. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Gail may be made to: Lutheran Church of Our Savior of Haddonfield or Alliance for a Living Ocean .
