Sarah Frances “Fran” Walker

(nee Malcom) On March 4, 2026, age 93, formerly of Medford Lakes. Beloved wife of the late Myles Walker; loving mother of Pamela Brant (Steve) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Gwynn Di Pilla (Steven) of Haddonfield, NJ, and Malcolm Walker (Bianca). Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Ryan) Schradin, Stephanie (Jason) Simmons, Annelies Walker, Dean Walker, Edwin Walker (Wen-Ling), Danica Eager (Matt), Ryland Di Pilla, and Aaron Di Pilla, and great-grandmother of Blake Di Pilla, who lovingly called her Memaw.

Fran was known for her gentle spirit and deep faith, living a life marked by humility and service. She grew up in Georgia, where as a child she helped her family as sharecroppers, picking cotton—an experience that shaped her strong work ethic and grateful outlook on life. Throughout the years, she devoted herself to her family and to serving her church, Fellowship Alliance Chapel, teaching Sunday school and helping wherever she was needed.

Fran had a deep love of nature, which she passed on to her family. She also cherished more than 50 years living in Medford Lakes, where she could often be found riding her bike or taking walks through the community she loved.

Family and friends are invited to attend Fran’s Memorial Service on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by the service at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Avenue, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Interment will follow at Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery.
