Franklin S. Wezner
Passed away on September 6, 2022. Franklin was the devoted husband of Dolores (nee Johns) for 71 years; cherished father of Maureen (Phil Quay) Barber, the late Dianne Wezner, Franklin Wezner, Jr., Denise (Pete) Giorgianni, Bryant Wezner, Richard (Felicia) Wezner and Marc (Wendy) Wezner; adoring grandfather of 12 and great- grandfather of 7.
Frank was an engineer for over 40 years for RCA designing and holding the patent for the parabolic antenna that NASA used on all its Apollo Moon Missions. In fact, one of Frank’s antennas is still on the moon.
Frank was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield. The Church owned house on 20 Chestnut Street was unanimously voted to be named the “Wezner House” in honor of Frank’s devoted volunteer work as long-term chairman of the church’s Buildings and Grounds Committee.
Frank proudly served in the Army during World War II and was a Mason at Haddonfield Lodge #15.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the Wezner family on Monday, September 12th at 10am at the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ; where Frank’s funeral service will immediately follow at 11am. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers charitable donations in Frank’s name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of your choice.
