Eugene F. Holben

Age 96, of Medford, former Haddonfield Resident

Eugene F. of Medford Leas, NJ died November 25, 2020. He is the husband of Jane A (Hall) Holben and the son of deceased parents Ralph G. Holben and Grace M. (Watkins) Holben. He is survived by his wife, Jane A. Holben of Medford Leas, Medford, NJ, his son Daniel E. Holben of Haddonfield, NJ and daughter Margaret J. Holben Ellis Bottger of NYC. His twin grandsons Ethan M. Ellis and Alexander H. Ellis reside in NYC. He is the brother of Norma I. O’Neill, deceased, and Marilyn R. Pearl both of Bethlehem, PA.

Mr. Holben was born in Elkhart Co., IN and moved to Philadelphia with his parents in 1936 and resided in Flourtown, PA. He graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in EE in 1948 after service in the U.S. Navy as a Radio Tech from 1942 – 1946. He is a Life Member of the Instrument Society of America and has been an Amateur Radio Operator for over 40 years holding an Extra Class License N2WFN. He is a founding member of the Battleship New Jersey Amateur Radio Station. He founded Conameter Corp., a manufacturer of Industrial Instruments, in 1972 and retired in 1992. Mr. and Mrs. Holben have been members of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, NJ for over 45 years where he served as an Elder and a Trustee.

His ashes will be placed in the Memorial/Meditation Garden of the church in a private service for family members.
