Dorothy E. “Dot” Herbert

 (nee Mayer) On July 19, 2020, Age 88; longtime Haddonfield resident; Beloved wife of the late Robert A.; Devoted mother of Robert (Cathy) of New Hope, PA and Ronald (Robin) of Richmond, VA; Loving grandmother of Ashton, Kelsey, Patrick, Ann Carter, Caitlin, Christopher & Matthew.

Dot was a 1949 graduate of HMHS.  She married Robert in 1955, together raised their two sons in Haddonfield, and was a long-time member of The First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield.  Dot worked as a nursery school teacher at Haddonfield United Methodist Nursery School and was very involved in the community.  She spent much of her time volunteering at Haddonfield First Pres. Church, was on the board of HMHS Alumni Assoc, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  The family would like to thank the staff at Brandywine Living of Haddonfield for the excellent care she received over the past few years.

Due to the COVID situation, Dot’s funeral service and interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dot may be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 Kings Highway E., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
