Bradford D. Fischer, Ph.D.

Age: 47 of Haddon Township

Passed away on December 12, 2024. Bradford was the cherished father of Levi, Grayson and Reid Fischer; beloved husband of Diana Fischer; and step father of Luciana Gil; adoring brother of Chris (Natalie) Fischer and Katie Meehan; loving son of Cynthia and Jeffery Fischer; former spouse of Kelly (Drew) Smith. Bradford will be sorely missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Bradford completed his undergrad at Dickinson College. He then completed his Ph.D. in Neuroscience at UNC Chapel Hill and his post-Doctoral at Harvard. Bradford was a professor in the Biomedical Sciences department at Rowan University.

Brad loved to spend time golfing at his beloved Tavistock with his sons as well as numerous friends.   He loved listening to music and attending live shows and shared that love with his eldest attending concerts together. He was passionate about his research and was so proud to work hard and acquire the R01 grant for Cooper Medical School, which will fund research aimed at developing a new class of opioid analgesics that have a greatly reduced potential for dependency and abuse.  He loved cooking and testing out new recipes for his meat smoker which he often documented in pictures and videos and shared with friends. He loved watching Tar Heels Basketball and telling you about it.  But most of all, he loved spending time, cracking jokes, and talking with his dear family and friends who will miss him immensely.

Bradford enjoyed teaching the kiddos and Lucy, making food and dessert recipes, his joy and tenderness affected everyone around him, he was a wonderful and exemplary man.  His tranquility flooded hearts with peace and love, evoking his joy, and that unconditional being will never go out; it will continue to live in our hearts.  You will always be an example of courage, the star and guardian angel that will guide our path from heaven. He was a great son, brother, father, husband and friend. You passed through our lives, make you shine in the love of God – forever, fly high.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Brad at Tavistock Country Club, 100 Tavistock Ln, Tavistock, NJ, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, beginning at 12 noon.
