Anne M. Cooley

(nee Malcomson) On May26, 2023, wife of the late Earl C.; Beloved mother of Dean Cooley (Nanette) of MD, Earl S. Cooley (Karen) formerly of Haddonfield, NJ, Anne E. Boulanger (Robert) of TX and the late Beth Anne Cooley; Loving grandmother of eight.

Anne graduated from Collingswood HS, Class of ‘47.  Anne studied art at the Philadelphia Museum and School of Industrial Arts but left before graduating to care for her father.  After graduating from Pierce Junior College of Business, she worked for Bell of PA and then Bell of NJ. She married her cherished husband Earl 2/17/51. She buried her first child Beth at the tender age of 7. Anne assisted her husband in their deli shop and when her children were school aged, she took a position at Elizabeth Haddon Elementary. Anne was very involved on the board of Wedgewood Swim Club where her 3 children swam competitively, Tri-County events, and the Jersey Wahoo swim club from its inception.  Eventually she started her career at Midlantic bank where she worked for 20 years in various departments and managed the Haddon Ave. branch. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with Earl all over the world. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook and dine out.

Anne’s services will be held privately by her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield
