A. William Trucksess
Bill Trucksess, of Moorestown and Cape May New Jersey, passed away peacefully March 1, 2018 at the age of 87. He was born in Haddonfield, N.J., the son of Margaret and Drew Trucksess.
Bill graduated from Haddonfield Memorial HS and went on to get his BS in Engineering from Lehigh University.
After graduating, Bill joined Philadelphia Sign Company, which his father had founded in 1911. The business thrived under Bill’s leadership for more than five decades and remains a national leader in the signage industry.
In 1955, Bill married the love of his life, Janice Rundle, who he first met during their high school years. Bill, Janice and their three daughters enjoyed their early years as a family in Cherry Hill and Cape May.
Bill loved his times in Cape May. He is a past commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club, a member of the Beach Club of Cape May and the Cape May Tennis Club, an avid fisherman and Thistle sailor. Bill and Janice’s home on the Cape May harbor is now the Nature Center of Cape May.
Bill was a hardworking, curious and adventurous spirit who loved to explore and travel the world. He will be dearly missed by Janice and daughters Tanice (Dudley) Fitzpatrick, Elizabeth Teegen (John Lima) Trucksess and Kristen Trucksess, along with grandchildren Aubrey, Drew, Tess, Weston, Wyatt, Ryan and Tyler. He is predeceased by his sister Peg Scott.
A memorial service will be held in the Auditorium at Medford Leas, One Medford Leas Way, Medford NJ 08055, on Sunday, March 11th at 12 noon. Reception will follow. Interment private.
